Mini Facial

 In DIY

A facial is really relaxing and your skin will love you for it. This mini facial can be done in the comfort of your own home and takes about 30 minutes. Make it a routine and give yourself a facial once a week.

Tools:

  • Washcloth
  • Olive oil
  • Aloe Vera gel
  • Two small bowls
  • Large metal or glass bowl
  • Towel
  • Geranium or lavender essential oil
  • The white from one egg
  • Raw honey
  • Rosewater
  • Coconut oil

Gather all your tools. Mix your cleanser and mask (recipes below) and set aside. Put a couple cups of water in a pan or teakettle and bring to a boil. While water is heating, wash your face with cleanser. Apply the olive oil and aloe vera mixture to your face with your fingers. Work the cleanser around your face in an upward motion then rinse your face off with washcloth.

Once the water starts to boil turn the stove off and pour the water into the large bowl. Add two drops of geranium or lavender essential oil. Cover your head with the towel like a tent and steam your face for 10 to 15 minutes. Pat face dry and apply mask with fingers. Sit back relax and let mask dry for about 10 minutes. Rinse mask with washcloth. Pat face dry then spritz with rosewater and apply a little dab of coconut oil. Beautiful!

Cleanser: Mix 1teaspoon each of olive oil and aloe vera gel
