What the Akashic Records Have Taught Me

At some point in your life you have probably wondered what the meaning of life is. I too have questioned why I’m here and what it is I’m supposed to do to make this life fulfilling. Some of us come into this world with a knowing or desire that drives them to fulfill their purpose early on in life and others, like myself, take several decades to figure it out.

In my forties I began to have some clarity about what it was that made my soul sing but had not put my finger on exactly what it was I was supposed to do.

I examined what interests I had over the years, types of books that I read, magazine articles that interested me, and classes I took. There was a consistent message however; I still had trouble figuring out how to bring it all together into something other than a hobby or interest.

I was then introduced to Akashic Record reading. Your Akashic Record is like a library of you. Reading the records can help you get answers to what your purpose is. This intrigued me so I got a couple of readings done and have since used the information I received to define my purpose.

Working towards living my purpose has made a huge difference in my life. The Akashic Records have given me the clarity I need to move forward and embrace why I’m here and what I have to offer humanity. Having this knowing has a way of making life easier. I’m not saying I don’t have challenges in my life but those challenges are easier to navigate when you are working towards your soul’s mission.

Now what does any of this have to do with nourishing your gut? When we live our purpose life has more joy, less stress and a greater flow to it that in turn has an impact on how we nourish ourselves in other ways like through the food we eat.

To paint a picture of what I’m referring to, think about how you eat when you’re stressed. I don’t know about you but when I’m stressed I tend to want to eat high fat, high sugar and nutritionally poor junk food. On the other hand when I’m not stressed and in a joyous state fruits and vegetables are appealing and taste delicious.

Nourishing yourself through doing what makes your heart sing is just as important as nourishing your gut with nutritious food. Here are some steps to figure out what makes your heart sing:

  1. Look at what things have consistently interested you by examining the types of books you read, magazines or magazine articles you read, classes you’ve taken or want to take, type of advice you give to friends, hobbies you engage in.
  2. Ask your friends and family what they would see you doing if you could do anything.

It is never too late to live your soul’s purpose and to reap the benefits of nourishing yourself through living that purpose.
